J. Cole’s Dreamville Foundation Announces Writing Contest

According to FayObserver J. Cole’s Dreamville Foundation is readying a Mother’s Day writing contest.

The Fayetteville native introduced the “Nobody’s Perfect” writing contest for local kids.

The contest encourages kids to honor their mothers (or primary caretakers) using creative writing to express their gratitude. The contest is open to active youth members of Fayetteville Urban Ministry’s Find-A-Friend program.

The theme of the essay plays off Cole’s song, “Nobody’s Perfect,” which features Missy Elliott, and entrants must write an essay or poem completing the statement, ‘Nobody’s Perfect but my mother is perfect for me…’

Who else can you expect this from, than the guy who brought his mom as his date to the Grammys.

Video: Beanie Sigel And Scarface Announce Joint Album

Beanie Sigel was on Shade 45 with Statik Selektah. While up there, Scarface called up to help announce their new joint album Mac And Brad.

While Sigel was being interviewed Scarface called in to the show to officially break the news of the album’s conception.

“I can’t wait for this shit. Me and Beans doing some easy shit right now. You know, separate solo acts but eventually we gonna double back and do that shit,” Scarface explained. “I just wanted to break that news on XM man, Shade 45. I’m fucking with it.”
